Grow Your Own Lunch

quartetBuilding on the programme of regular visits over the last two years from children at St Saviour’s Infant School, Alice Park Community Garden secured funding from the Quartet Community Foundation as part of the B&NES Healthy Lives, Healthy People Programme, for its project ‘Grow Your Own Lunch’ in collaboration with the school. Children and their families gained skills in learning gardening and cooking skills in tandem through practical hands-on activities over 6 weeks both in the community garden and the school kitchen. The project was documented through our blog during June-July 2014.
